shift boot installation guide

1. Place vehicle in Neutral and make sure parking brake is engaged.

Turn shift knob to unscrew (it is a long threaded section, so it will take a bit, be patient, it will come off)

2. Gently pull out and up on the edge of the stock shift boot. It will release from its holder.

3. Work around the boot, gently pulling outward until the whole boot has been released from its holder.

4. Lift the boot off.

5. Slide new boot in place over the shifter.

6. To make the install easier, fold up the bottom edge of the boot.

7. Start either at the front or back, and gently unfold the boot over the holder.

8. Make sure that you tuck the edge inside the holder to make sure it is secured. A flat head screwdriver used with care (so you do not damage the boot) may be useful to help you tuck the edges in.

Reinstall the shift knob and you are done.

Useful tip

You have installed a product made out of genuine leather. As you know, to maintain a leather product in good condition, you should take care of it. We suggest occasionally (every 4-6 week for example) applying some leather conditioner/UV protector to keep your leather from drying up in the sun and cracking.
