1. Here is the stock boot and dash assembly. |
2. For shift boot replacement you first need to unscrew your shift knob. |
3. Then grip the trim panel around the lower edge of the boot and pull sharply upwards. Both the trim and boot will come up together. At this point unplug the harness going to your hazard switch and then just remove the stock boot and trim.
4. You will now need to unclip the boot from the trim plate. It is clipped in on the underside of the trim panel. |
5. That's what you need to take out of the car. :) |
6. At this point you need to remove the staples holding the stock boot to the inner panel. |
7. Once the staples are removed you will have the new boot and the trim piece. Staple these back together, making sure you keep the boot aligned properly working evenly around the piece. It is recommended to use a staple gun so that it will shoot throught the plastic of the trim. |
8. At this point installation is the reverse of removal and you will have your finished product. |
9. Here is the stock e-brake with it's boring platic cover. |
10. First you need to pull the trimpiece with the cup holders straight up to remove it from the vehicle. |
11. Now you will have access to the e-brake boot, grip it and slide it forward off of the actual e-brake. this is not neccessary but does make it a little easier to get the new boot on over it. |
12. Now take your new boot and slide it over the stock one and slide the whole assembly back over the e-brake. |
13. Snap the trim panel back down over the e-brake assembly. |
14. And now you have your new leather boot cover. |
15. To remove the armrest cover, raise and slide forward the arm rest, remove the bottom snapped on cover to access screws, remove the screws to separate the top of the armrest, remove the lid from the console. After removing the lid assembly from the console continue to remove additional screws to seperate the two pieces of the lid assembly. Remove the staples and cover from the lid assembly. To install new cover, put it on top lid, line it up with arm rest, install screws to secure. Lift up arm rest, line up and install screws to the slide mechanism. Reinstall bottom plastic cover by a snapping into place. Enjoy your new cover! |

CONGRATULATIONS - YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED YOUR NEW LEATHER BOOTS!
Useful tip You have installed a product made out of genuine leather. As you know, to maintain a leather product in good condition, you should take care of it. We suggest occasionally (every 4-6 week for example) applying some leather conditioner/UV protector to keep your leather from drying up in the sun and cracking. |
