1. Here's what you're looking at. |

2. Pull original boot out from under plastic retaining ring. |
|
3. Detach top of boot from under the reverse lock-out part. |
|
4. Remove shift knob (sawing it off may be necessary for original knob, which glued onto the shifter). |
|
5. Remove original boot and plastic reverse lock-out rod |
|
6. Slide new boot onto plastic rod backwards, making sure the end of it goes in the special indent for the boot. |
|
7. Flip boot out again, and make sure it's on snug. |
|
8. This is how the retaining ring fits into the center console
opening. |
|
9. Put boot on retaining ring, snap back into hole. |
|
10. Push shift knob back on, ensuring that the numbers are lined up correctly. |

Useful tip You have installed a product made out of genuine leather. As you know, to maintain a leather product in good condition, you should take care of it. We suggest occasionally (every 4-6 week for example) applying some leather conditioner/UV protector to keep your leather from drying up in the sun and cracking. |
