shift boot installation guide

1. Unscrew the shiftknob counter-clockwise. Remove the old boot and frame by prying up the frame with something that will not mar the surfaces. Remove the old boot and inspect the plastic frame underside for all four of the metal retaining clips.

2. In case one or more of the clips is missing they should be down in the console so just retrieve them and put them back on the posts. Remove your wire frame from the old boot, cut it ½ way across the front side with wire cutters. (Front side is slightly longer than rear.)

3. Slide the wire into the new boot and snap the new boot into the plastic frame as shown.

4. Reinstall the plastic frame and boot by sliding the boot over the shift lever and snap the retaining clips into the slots of the console. Screw the shift knob back onto the shift lever.

CONGRATULATIONS - YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED YOUR NEW LEATHER BOOTS!

Useful tip

You have installed a product made out of genuine leather. As you know, to maintain a leather product in good condition, you should take care of it. We suggest occasionally (every 4-6 week for example) applying some leather conditioner/UV protector to keep your leather from drying up in the sun and cracking.
