NISSAN/INFINITI CUSTOM DOOR INSERT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1) Remove the plastic cover behind the door handle and the 10mm bolt behind it.
2) Remove the plastic behind the door handle pull and the bolts behind it.
3) Pry the door panel loose starting at the bottom of the door.
4) Disconnect the door release and lock cables.
5) Disconnect the power supply to the windows and door locks switches. The door panel should now be free.
6) Flip the door panel over so you are looking at the inside. Remove the Phillips screws that are holding the white plastic to the door panel.
7) Push the window and door lock controls through and remove. Remove the plastic hand grip pieces by removing the Phillips screws.
8) Line up the leather over the existing material. Once everything lines up, starting with the largest section, use spray adhesive to secure the leather to the existing material. Use 3M High Strength 90 Contact Adhesive and followed the directions on the can.
9) Use clamps to hold the leather down until the adhesive dried in that section. Work your way around the panel, making sure to adjust and pull the leather tight as you go. When you get to the door handle pull section, do some test fitting by re-installing the plastic hand grip pieces you removed in previous steps above.
10) Re-install everything in the reverse order of removal.
ENJOY YOUR NEW LEATHER INTERIOR UPGRADE :-)
Useful tip:
You have installed a product made out of genuine leather. As you know, to maintain a leather product in good condition, you should take care of it. We suggest occasionally (every 4-6 week for example) applying some leather conditioner/UV protector to keep your leather from drying up in the sun and cracking.
